ABOUT ME

Hello, I am Shinjini. I have over 15 years of experience in climate-resilient infrastructure and urban planning, and started ClimaThrive Solutions to deliver practical, community-driven solutions for climate and disaster resilience.

I currently support multiple organizations, and am a roster expert under the Government of Canada’s Climate Ready Infrastructure Service, providing local governments and communities with the guidance and decision-making support needed to integrate climate resilience into infrastructure projects across Canada.

My past work includes designing climate-informed urban infrastructure (including water supply and sanitation systems), evacuation route planning and coastal protection projects using nature-based solutions across B.C., Africa and Asia-Pacific regions. I also specialize in disaster risk planning for local governments and organizations, and have experience in Emergency Operations Centres.

I am a Green Shores Level 2 professional with PMP and ENV-SP certifications, combining technical expertise with a track record of advancing sustainable infrastructure and urban planning projects that protect people, communities and critical assets.
